Prepping the Skin
Start with a clean face. Make sure that the skin is sufficiently moisturized. Hydration is the key to smooth, even skin, and moisturizing is the external way to achieve it. Choose a moisturizer that has sodium hyaluronate as an ingredient – it locks in moisture & prevents it from leaving skin.
Exfoliate every 2 weeks. Sloughing off dead skin cells will help makeup applications look smooth and flawless.
What is the difference between airbrush and traditional makeup?
Airbrush makeup is makeup that is applied in a fine mist through use of an airbrush machine. We use a silicone based product which is most like our skin which helps create an even and flawless coverage. This allows for a light to full coverage application without feeling like there is a lot of makeup on your face and gives skin a beautifully natural finished result. It can be applied on anyone even men. Airbrush makeup is sweat resistant and will last for up to 12 hours. Traditional makeup is usually in the form of a liquid or cream and applied with a foundation brush or makeup sponge. You can achieve a medium to full coverage with it as well. Traditional makeup can last anywhere from 4-6 hours.
Tips to help change the look of your eyes.
Deep-set eyes need to be brought out with light and medium to deep medium shades of shadow. Colors that are too dark recede and will make the eyes look even more deep set.
Wide-set eyes will appear closer together with a sweep of shadow one to two shades darker than the foundation tone at the inner corner of the eye. When applying liner, thicken the line a bit at the inner corner, and do not extend it past the outer corner of the eye.
To make eyes look bigger, line your eyes all the way around.
To make eyes look more oval, top and bottom liner should meet at the outer corners. Then contour shadow from the lash line along the eyeliner outward and into the crease.
To make large eyes look smaller, use a soft shadow color as a liner at the lower lash line. The shadow should be several shades lighter than the top liner.
To make eyes look less puffy, apply contour shadow at the outer corners and blend it as you move in toward the nose.
Tattoo cover up
To achieve optimal tattoo coverage, we use an alcohol-based or silicone based airbrush make-up. Dura is widely used for body art, prosthetics, tattoo coloring, and special effects make-up. This technique will ensure that your tattoo area is covered and can withstand hugging and touching! Airbrush make-up is typically best applied by a skilled make-up artist.
Before covering tattoo:
• Make sure skin is clean and area of tattoo is shaved.
• Avoid soaps, lotion, and oils on the covered area
How to care for tattoo:
• Pat dry the area if wet, do not rub
• Make sure to add talc powder or baby powder before and after sleep, shower, or physical activity.
• Coverup is a Dura based product that will not smear or transfer onto clothing.
Things that may shorten the life of the cover-up:
• Not covering area with powder when the area is wet.
• High quantities of alcohol, as alcohol removes the makeup.
How to remove tattoo cover-up:
• Take a cotton ball and add 70% alcohol or baby oil to covered area. • Wash area and moisturize as normal.
